At Tekview Limited we value your privacy. It is important that you read and understand the privacy policy as it will explain how Tekview Limited collect and use your personal information and why we do this. This policy relates to your use of this website, our online management system EstateView and any data gathered for orders. All personal information is kept on a secure server and password protected hard drives.

For the purposes of data protection this policy refers to the 1998 Data Protection Act until 25th May 2018 and thereafter the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or any subsequent, and successor, legislation.

Tekview Limited is the data controllerof the personal information we hold about you.

Your privacy is very important to us. Accordingly, we have developed this Policy in order for you to understand how we collect, use, communicate and disclose and make use of personal information. The following outlines our privacy policy.

Before or at the time of collecting personal information, we will identify the purposes for which information is being collected.

We will collect and use of personal information solely with the objective of fulfilling those purposes specified by us and for other compatible purposes, unless we obtain the consent of the individual concerned or as required by law.

What is personal information?

Personal information, or personal data, refers to any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. It does not refer to anonymous data. Anonymous data is information where any personal identifiers have been removed.

What information do we collect?

When you place an order with Tekview Limited or use EstateView (our online management system) we ask for, and collect, personal information such as your name, invoice and delivery address, telephone number, email address, products ordered and payment details. Passwords for any accounts created are stored securely on an Amazon Web Server and cannot be accessed by Tekview Limited.

We may also collect, and third-party providers of advertisements may also collect, information regarding your visit to www.tekview-solutions.com or www.tekview.co.uk. This may include where you are geographically, how you were referred to us (e.g. search engines or email marketing), your browser and device type, the pages you viewed and duration of your visit and search terms used.

This information may be collected even if you do not become a customer of Tekview Limited.

How do we use your personal information?

To process your order including delivery, payment and for information service updates for EstateView. EstateView account holders require an email address and password to access their account.

To send you special offers and promotions that may be of interest if you have consented for us to do so or we believe may be of interest to you. You may opt-out of receiving these messages at any time.

To assist in the detection and prevention of fraud.

Our courier service has selected access to your details for delivery purposes only.

Other third parties also have limited access to your information; Sage Pay for taking telephone order payments, GoGardless for direct debit payments, DotMailer for email marketing, IT Enterprise for managing EstateView and EstateView technical support - this information is used for its primary purpose only and only the necessary information needed to complete the task is used. No sensitive information is held by Tekview Limited directly (e.g. credit card details, this is only inputted at the time of payment and is not stored and cannot be recalled once the payment has been processed).

Why do we contact you?

We contact you to update you about new product launches and offers which are exclusive to our contact list. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time – see below for more details.

We and/or our courier will contact you by email or SMS to notify you of updates and delivery of your order.

Your invoice will then follow by email shortly after.

What are your rights?

Right of access – You have the right to obtain confirmation that your data is being processed and request access to your personal data. You can make a request by email to info@tekview-solutions.com or in writing to:

To request a subject access request record. This subject access request will need to be completed and signed to ensure proof of identity.

In the first instance we will provide a copy of the information free of charge.  However, we may charge a reasonable administration fee when a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive or to comply with requests for further copies of the same information although this does not mean that we will charge for all subsequent access requests.

We will without delay and within 1 month of your request (subject to extensions in some cases);

Confirm what personal data we hold about you;

Provide a copy of the data in commonly used electronic format if the request is made electronically

Provide any supporting explanatory materials

We can extend the time to respond by a further two months where requests are complex or numerous.  If this is the case, we will inform you of this within one month of the receipt of the request and explain why the extension is necessary.

Data portability – In addition to your access right you can require us to provide a copy of your information that we hold in a commonly used machine-readable format.

Rights of Rectification and Erasure (the right to be forgotten) – You may ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate or no longer necessary.

Marketing Communications

Your information will be recorded if you fill in our online contact form or send an enquiry directly to us either by phone or email.  It can also have been collected through our own research and administration if we feel our products and services could be relevant to your business. If you wish to no longer receive any marketing communication simply click the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or reply to any personal emails with OPT-OUT in the title and we will ensure no further correspondence is communicated to you, unless you opt-in again at a later date.

Marketing communications may be sent either electronically via email, via telephone or occasionally physically through the post.

How to unsubscribe from marketing communications?

At Tekview Limited customers have the choice to opt-out of receiving marketing communications from us. 

If you do not wish to continue receiving marketing from us, click on the ‘Unsubscribe’ link in any email communications.

The bit we cannot control …

Third party sites (e.g. resellers); Our site may contain links to and from the websites of our partners or other third parties that are relevant to the website content.  If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that they have their own privacy policy and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies.  Please check these policies before you submit any personal data to these websites.

We will use cookies (electronic tags) to monitor your browsing history on our site, for example which pages are visited.  You can change the settings on your browser to prevent cookies being stored on your computer without your explicit consent.

Do not track (DNT) is a feature offered by most browsers, with some newer browsers offering it as default.  If enabled, it sends a signal to websites to request that your browsing isn’t tracked.  Tracking is used for a wide variety of reasons ranging from social or advertising networks measuring effectiveness or third-party analytical services such as Google Analytics to improve the customer experience and provide statistical analysis.

At present there is not an industry-wide uniform standard that as been agreed and adopted to determine how DNT requests should be managed.  As a result, Tekview-solutions.com does not currently respond to DNT requests.  We will continue to review this process and other new technologies.

SSL and Encryption

We use the latest secure server technology to ensure your information is protected to the highest standards.  We use encryption to safeguard your information and only accept web browsers that permit communication through Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology – this means the above version three support this security.  This encryption makes it virtually impossible for unauthorised parties to read any information that you add into EstateView.  The encryption technique used is the highest quality for the requirement.

Business Customers & Suppliers

Please note that the following information will from 25th May 2018 constitute part of the business relationship between both parties.

Both parties will comply with all applicable requirements of the Data Protection Legislation.  This is in addition to, and does not relieve, remove or replace, a party’s obligations under the Data Protection Legislation.

The parties acknowledge that for the purposes of the Data Protection Legislation a) both the customer/supplier and Tekview Limited have responsibilities as data controllers and any personal data processed by Tekview Limited is incidental to the services, the primary purpose of which is not to process personal data.

Without prejudice to the generality of this policy, the customer/supplier will ensure it has all necessary appropriate consents and notices in place or has other justification under the Data Protection Legislation to enable lawful transfer of the personal data to Tekview Limited for the duration and purposes of this agreement.

Without prejudice to the generality of this policy, the customer/supplier will ensure that it has in place appropriate technical and organisational measures, to protect against unauthorised or unlawful processing of personal data and against accidental loss or destruction of, or damage to, personal data, appropriate to the harm that might result from the unauthorised or unlawful processing or accidental loss, destruction or damage and the nature of the data to be protected, having regard to the state of technological development and the cost of implementing any measures.
